Mortons on the Move
Mortons on the Move is your source for inspiration, travel destinations, RV knowledge, gear reviews, and more. You’ll find everything you need to get ready for whatever adventure awaits.
Since 2015 when we hit the road to live full-time in an RV, we’ve experienced first-hand what it takes to travel, live, and work on the road. We’ve been to all corners of the USA, renovated multiple RVs, fixed countless RV maintenance and repair issues, and personally helped install over 20 RV solar systems.
Over the years, we’ve RVed internationally in Canada, New Zealand, and Europe, and have traveled in nearly all types of campers. We’ve served as consultants to the RV industry to work to improve RV products, toured numerous RV manufacturing facilities, and attended countless RV shows and events across the country.
We also have had the privilege to test out a plethora of RV products and gear on our quest to make RV life easier and safer.
We started from the humble beginnings of filming travel vlogs for YouTube. Now, we’ve published full-length documentary series on Amazon Prime Video and co-hosted/filmed a TV show on Discovery Channel and PBS. We now have over 100,000 subscribers on YouTube and reach millions of readers every year.
What started out as a fun way to share adventures with friends and family has grown into a central source for the most sought-after RV and travel information on the web. What hasn’t changed is our passion for travel and adventure, and the love of sharing our experiences so others can do the same.

Meet the Team
Mortons on the Move – Tom and Caitlin Morton
CO-FOUNDERS, PRODUCERS, AUTHORS, THE RVERS TV HOSTS
Tom & Caitlin Morton of Mortons on the Move gave up their stationary life for one where they are constantly on the move. They are full-time travelers, television hosts, and digital media producers.
They left their jobs, sold their house and possessions in Michigan, and hit the road in September 2015. Their full-time “home on wheels” was a 36-foot 2005 fifth wheel. Read more about The Mortons’ Origin Story here.
Since then, they’ve changed RVs multiple times, rented campers abroad, and put on many, many miles.
In 2019, they partnered with RV manufacturer Lance Campers to drive a truck camper to Alaska and the Arctic Ocean in a 6-month expedition called “Go North.” This adventure was filmed and edited by the Mortons and is available to watch on YouTube and Amazon Prime.

In 2019 they also joined the cast of the Discovery Channel & PBS TV show The RVers which has aired 4 seasons and in production for Season 5. In the show, they are co-hosts alongside their friends and well-known RV influencers the RV Geeks.
The Mortons co-founded and were instructors for RV Masterclass, an online education platform offering courses on full-time RVing, boondocking, how to buy an RV, and more. They’ve been asked to speak at RV seminars at multiple events. They are contributing authors for Hwy.co and an Arizona travel guide where they share first-hand experiences of their extensive travels.

TOM MORTON
Co-Founder, Video Producer, Electrical Engineer
A Pacific Northwest native, Tom grew up in Washington and then Alaska before moving to Michigan with his family. Tom is the technical, electrical, and mechanical guru of our operation. He literally keeps the wheels turning and the lights on.
With his Electrical Engineering background, Tom has a specialty in RV solar systems and lithium batteries. He was the first person documented using a Tesla battery module as an RV battery. Tom has helped other RVers install dozens of systems personally, plus thousands more through his videos and articles on the subject.
Tom has a passion for cinematography. He filmed, directed, and edited the Go North series. His talent with cameras is now on display in The RVers TV show on Discovery Channel and PBS.
Tom also has a long history with boats, planes, and all things mechanical. He is known for tackling all maintenance and repair projects himself and can often be found crawling around underneath RVs.

CAITLIN MORTON
Co-Founder, Logistics Queen, Business & Content Manager
An Upper Peninsula of Michigan native (aka a Yooper), Caitlin is the organization, big-picture, and content strategy queen of our operation. She keeps everything orderly and on track.
With a background in Business Management, she supports and helps channels Tom’s technical prowess into the helpful content our readers and viewers expect. That’s not to say you won’t find her turning wrenches and talking shop – RV life is a team effort. She keeps the business and the blog moving forward with a variety of topics and resources for our audience.
Caitlin’s passion lies in outdoor recreation and with animals. Some of her favorite things to do are hiking, biking, and getting out on the water via kayak, SUP, or boat.
She also loves the RV life due to the fact that you can bring your pets along. Sharing information about safely recreating outdoors with your whole family – pets included! – is very important to her.
