Alaskan Salmon Dinner Chat – Live Update from Whittier, Alaska
Hello from Whittier, Alaska! Join us for a quick update as we cook up an Alaskan Salmon dinner in our Lance Truck Camper. After an awesome fishing trip in Valdez, we have plenty of salmon but not enough recipes – we would love to hear your favorite salmon recipe!

In other news, we’ve been loving Alaska and spent time in Valdez, Homer, Seward, Kenai, and now Whittier for our final Kenai Peninsula adventure. We’ve had some awesome adventures that we are very excited to share with you in the upcoming episodes, including our successful salmon fishing trip and even a bear viewing trip to Katmai National Park!

It hasn’t all been sunshine and roses though – even though we are on this epic adventure life still happens. Mocha had a vestibular disease event last week that threw off not only her balance but our whole routine. Fortunately, we had everything we needed to support her through her recovery here in the truck camper, and she is on the mend.

The wildfires here in Alaska have also been continuing to rage. The typical August wet and cool weather hasn’t  come yet to extinguish the flames of the huge Swan Lake fire on the Kenai Peninsula, and we’ve been watching the Alaska Smoke Maps to plan our travels to avoid getting super smoked. We drove along the Sterling Highway with flames on both sides of the road.

Thanks so much for watching and hope you’ll hang around for our upcoming episodes where we share these experiences and more with you!

best way to do salmon (& L, S. lake trout) is do whole fish (head optional) stuffed with onions, mushrooms, and bunch o butter slabs and wrap in tinfoil and throw on/in fire or stove top pan or oven. don't cook too long! Nic Nark Nidi, beware the creeping meatball, and remember...the starship leaves at midnight! Sparkling rainbows to ya'll.

Thank you! She has made almost a full recovery! She can still get off-balance when she shakes really hard, but otherwise you'd never tell. We hope that if another episode happens its a long ways off and she has as quick and successful of a recovery. We're cherishing every moment of her being back to her normal self!
