Are you feeling lucky? Even if you’re not, you can park your rig at one of the many casino RV parks or parking lots. You could score a deal that leaves you feeling like a winner, even if you don’t hit the jackpot. Today’s your lucky day if you’ve never stayed at one of these spots or didn’t know about casino RV parking.
We’ll share everything you need to know to take advantage of RV parking at casinos. Let’s get started!
Casinos Often Have Great RV Parking for Customers
If you’ve never been to a casino, their parking lots are often gigantic. They typically have plenty of room, making them perfect for maneuvering large rigs. Casinos frequently host big-name performers and tour buses full of guests. Thus, their parking lots need to accommodate these large rigs.
These large parking areas are intended for those who have traveled long distances for some fun. Since casinos aren’t in every town, many casino guests come in their RVs, either as a fun stop while passing through or to ease the trip to the casino itself. As encouragement for them to stay even longer, many casinos build adjacent RV parks or simply allow overnight RV parking in these roomy parking lots.
Can You Park Overnight at a Casino?
Many casinos allow overnight guests in their casino RV parking when local rules and regulations allow the practice. What you need to do when you arrive will vary based on the casino. Some will require you to register or check in with their guest services or a manager. They may ask for basic information to know who’s staying on their property or if they need to get in touch with you during your stay.
In addition, some casinos will require you to get a member card or set up an account to gamble at their establishment. However, they don’t always require you to do this if you’re not into gambling. You may be able to grab a bite to eat or see a show offered at the casino instead. They could want you to set up the account and cash out after walking around the casino.
Finding a spot to park for the night will likely be easy if you arrive at a decent hour. In addition, they can be rather quiet throughout the night. Many casinos have overnight security that patrols their parking lots. This can help you feel safe throughout the night while you snooze away in your RV.

Can You Sleep in Your Car at Casinos?
Casinos generally limit overnight stays to RVs and prohibit guests from sleeping in their cars. However, there’s no one-size-fits-all rule when it comes to these situations. Some casinos will make exceptions, so check the rules and regulations before getting too comfortable. If you’re trying to plan your stops, you may want to call them ahead and inquire about their policies. That way, you don’t waste your time, energy, or fuel.
These can be safe and convenient spots to get a few hours of sleep before returning to the road. There’s a good chance you’ll be left alone for the night, and you won’t have to worry about anyone disturbing you.

Some Have Full-Blown Casino RV Parks
While some casinos allow you to park in their parking lot, some have RV parks. These locations typically have full hookups and other amenities you’d expect from a campground or RV park. In addition, they may even shuttle guests to and from the casino to grab a bite to eat, see a show, or try their luck with gambling.
Some casino RV parks will have relatively budget-friendly options for overnight or short-term stays. Research the casino and the surrounding area before making any reservations. You don’t want to arrive and find yourself in an unsafe situation.

How Do You Find Free Casino RV Parking?
Don’t make finding free casino RV parking harder than it needs to be. There are several resources you can use that make it incredibly simple to find some of the best spots all across the country. Let’s see how you can start finding free RV parking at casinos!
Apps
As you might expect, there are a plethora of apps that can help you to find free casino RV parking. Two of our favorites are Campendium and iOverlander. These apps are easy to use, and their interfaces are very intuitive. You can search an area and apply filters to limit your results to only show casinos.
In addition, some casinos are host sites on subscriptions like Harvest Hosts and Boondockers Welcome. If you’re a member of either of these programs, you can search for casinos or apply filters to make it easier to find them.
Pro Tip: Download these Best Apps and Websites for Amazing Free Camping.
Call and Ask
Only some casinos or locations are going to be in the apps. You may need to use your phone like the good ole days and call them. Look for any casinos in the surrounding area and politely ask whoever answers about their overnight parking policy. It might help to let them know you’re passing through town and only planning to stay for a single night.
Don’t make it a big deal if they don’t grant your request. Thank them for their time, and move on to the next casino on your list. Getting upset or aggravated with them won’t do you any favors or help your case.

What Is the Etiquette for Overnight Casino RV Parking?
If you find a casino that allows you to park overnight, there are some things you need to know if you want to be a good guest. Let’s look at some etiquette you should follow during your stay.
Call Ahead or Check-In Upon Arrival
You should always get permission before getting too comfortable. These casino RV parking lots are private property, and they have the right to deny anyone from staying overnight in their lot. To save yourself the hassle, call ahead and get permission. If they say you can stay, this is a great opportunity to ask what you need to do when you arrive.
They may have a certain section of the parking lot or ask that you check in with their main desk upon arrival. Whatever the situation, make sure you follow their procedures to avoid any potential issues.
Follow the Rules and Signage
It’s important to remember that you’re a guest and that you should follow any of the casino’s rules. It doesn’t matter whether you agree with them or not. You need to follow them if you intend to stay the night. Rules tend to vary by location, so make sure you familiarize yourself with any rules specific to that location.
Respect Your Neighbors
There’s a good chance you’ll have neighbors during your stay. As a result, you must strive to be the best neighbor possible. This means giving them plenty of space and not making excessive noise during your stay. Make sure you turn off exterior lights at night and are doing whatever you can not to bother them.
In general, the golden rule applies in these types of situations. You should treat your neighbors how you want them to treat you. If you wouldn’t want to hear their music or the action movie they’re watching, keep your noise level respectful.
Don’t Set Up Camp Unless Allowed
You should avoid setting up camp unless you’re in a campground. Overnight parking locations are typically quick stops that don’t require getting your camping chairs and other gear out during your stay. You want to attract as little attention as possible to you and your RV during your stay. In addition, you want to be able to leave as quickly as possible if necessary.
Leave No Trace
One of the biggest rules guests should follow is to leave no trace at any overnight parking spot, including casinos. You shouldn’t leave trash or other items behind when you leave. Leave your area clean or cleaner. Make sure any rubbish goes with you to your next destination or finds its way into a nearby trash can.
This is one of the biggest reasons we see overnight stops closing across the country. Guests take advantage of the hospitality by leaving trash behind. It only takes a few leaving a mess behind for locations to stop allowing overnight guests.

FAQ: Do Casinos in Vegas Have RV Parking?
There are several Vegas casinos with RV parking. However, most casinos only allow guests staying in their hotel to park their rigs in their parking lots. Circus Circus is the only casino on the Vegas Strip that offers RV parking and provides amenities.
We suggest calling and checking on their policies if you plan to spend time in Sin City and want to take your RV. Not all casinos can accommodate all rigs or even offer RV parking. Do yourself a favor and call ahead to avoid any potential headaches.

Is Casino RV Parking Worth It?
Many casino RV parking spots are great options, especially if they’re on the way to your next destination. However, just because a casino allows overnight guests doesn’t mean they’re for you.
Some locations may not have security or could be sketchy locations. An overnight parking spot isn’t free if you sacrifice your safety. It’ll cost you a sleepless night as you worry all night about your safety. So make sure you are picky about which casinos you choose during your adventures.

Another good app for casino camping info is "casinocamper.com". When downloading the free app, it asks for a credit card. However, we just bookmark it and use it without downloading the app. Works fine and we use it on every trip to NM, AZ. OK, NV, ID, OR, and WA.
Two days ago, we returned from a snowbird trip to NM, AZ, and NV, where we checked out several casino RV parks in each state, but only stayed in one. The Black Mesa Casino is located on I-25 between Santa Fe and Albuquerque. It has 45 long, gravel-paved, pull-thru, 30/50A sites plus a water fill station and dump for $20/night. Check-in is just inside the NO SMOKING casino doors and an employee will lead you to your site and unlock the electrical box. The casino convenience store/truck stop also has fuel 30-50 cents/gallon cheaper than stations in either city.
This casino's location is perfect for us as it is exactly a long day's drive south on I-25 from our home near Denver. So we can stop on a 17-degree night without dewinterizing, plug in, use our 5 gallon water jug for fixing dinner and in the toilet, turn on the tank heaters, run the portable electric heater all night to save on propane, and get a good night's sleep before heading south to I-10 and warm, dewinterizing weather the next day!
