The Expedition 2.0 Off-Grid Camper is an off-road and off-grid-worthy teardrop trailer. It’s an all-metal overlanding trailer built without any wood, making it mold, mildew, and fire-resistant. And the aluminum cabin is insulated with an R-value of 10.
The trailer has 21 inches of ground clearance and a 50-degree departure angle. In addition, to keep you off-road further and longer, it has a 12-volt battery system that’s solar capable.

About the Expedition 2.0 Off-Grid Camper
The Expedition 2.0 Off-Grid Camper sleeps two with storage inside and an outdoor kitchen. Its teardrop design makes it compact, lightweight, and aerodynamic. You can pull the trailer with a truck, SUV, Jeep, or even a small sedan.
Specs
The dry weight on the Expedition 2.0 is 1,700 pounds with a 290-pound tongue weight. Its maximum gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) is 3,500 pounds. The wheelbase is 120 inches, and the interior length is 80 inches, so there’s plenty of room for a tall person to stretch out on the queen-size bed.
You can also haul 31 gallons of water in the fresh water tank. There’s an outdoor shower with an Eccotemp L5 hot water on-demand system. In addition, the outdoor kitchen galley has a hot and cold faucet.
Off-Grid Features
The off-grid features of the Expedition 2.0 include Timbren 3500 HD Axle-Less suspension. It also has 12-inch electric brakes and a battery backup breakaway system. The black aluminum wheels are 17 inches by 8.5 inches with 265/10/R17 AT tires.
You’ll find R10 rigid foam insulation throughout, keeping the camper warm in cold weather and helping it cool in hot temperatures. You can also add features to the trailer, including a 360-degree Maxcoupler hitch with a receiver and tow vehicle adapter. And, you can add leveling stabilizer jacks, more lighting, and a Maxxfan Deluxe 7500 fan upgrade.
How Much Does the Expedition 2.0 Off-Grid Camper Cost?
The Expedition 2.0 Off-Grid Camper starts at $31,500. Any add-on features will increase the cost. However, you do get some bonuses with a camper purchase.
For example, you’ll receive a free 23Zero Walkabout 62 Roof Top Tent. And if you need the Expedition 2.0 transported to you, a $2,000 freight credit is part of the deal.
What Type of Vehicle Can Pull the Expedition 2.0?
Since the Expedition 2.0 Off-Grid Camper weighs 3,500 pounds when fully loaded, there are multiple options for a tow vehicle. SUVs and some large sedans can pull it. If you’re looking to go off-grid or overland with the camper, a Jeep or off-road SUV would be an excellent option.
