Let’s dive in!

Do People Name Their RVs?

People name the craziest things, from their boats and cars to their bikes. Some people nickname their plants, shoes, and hats. So, it makes sense that people even name their RVs.

While campers aren’t the same as pets, people name them after their style, just like they name pets after their personalities. So, when it’s time to find a funny camper name for your RV, you should choose a nickname that fits your home on wheels as much as the name you chose for your furry companions.

Why Do People Name RVs?

RVs are like traveling companions, and that is one of the main reasons why people name their RVs. When on the road, the RV is your home. It’s a safe space. RVs provide a warm, comfy location to gather when the weather isn’t so inviting.

To many people, RVs are a part of their family because they create memories by traveling to many memorable places. For that, RVs deserve names. More than likely, those names will be off-the-wall silly.

Should I Name My Camper?

Just because many people name their campers doesn’t mean you have to. But let’s be honest; we know you want to name your camper. While you may not know the name yet, you may have picked some funny camper names already. So, go for it and give your trailer a name. Your RVs name might spark conversations and create new friendships.

Arvie is at the top of funny camper names. However, when you introduce your camper as Arvie, people might give you strange looks. After all, who names their RV “RV”? Some might not catch the ingenuity of this name until they see it spelled out as A-R-V-I-E. Cute, right?

We named our 20’ R-Pod LIL’ TEXAS ROADHOUSE. Due mostly to it physical description. We tried out other names but this one gave us a chuckle and it stuck. It’s little, we live in Texas and it’s our house while on the road. It take awhile to get comfortable using a name other than simply THE RV. We even made a custom adhesive name sign. Even tho it doesn’t roll off our tongues we now just call it ROADHOUSE for short. It works for us.

Years ago, we had a little third-hand Aljo Ally. It was about 13', single axle and those brown tones from the 80's. We named it the Tater Tot.

Tallulah Tioga, because she is a drama queen that has required more $$ to repair her than we orginally paid for her. A 1997 that can still flash her peacock tail. One more roof moulding and we'll be seen at a campground near you!

I named my Tag Boondock GoBeWan(der) Nomadi... GoBeWan for short. Albeit, I am a Star Wars fan, I really chose it for the fact that I can just hook up and Go, Exist simply, and Wander!
