Who Owns Furrion?

Who Owns Furrion?

If you own an RV, there’s a good chance you also own a Furion product. Never heard of the name? You might be surprised how prevalent it actually is. Furrion is a well-known name in the industry regardless of the name on the side of your RV. Today, we will look at who’s behind the manufacturer of so many of your appliances.

Who Is Furrion?

Furrion produces appliances for RVs, boats, and the home. Furrion’s founders met as engineers while working on a mega yacht crew. Here they had the chance to work with some of the most advanced equipment globally, gaining knowledge regarding travel, technology, and luxury service.

Furrion officially entered the RV market in 2007. Since that time, they’ve become a well-known and respected name in the RVing community. Their most popular products are luxury appliances you might see in RVs and yachts.

Who Owns Furrion?

On September 9th, 2021, Lippert Components Inc. excitedly announced that they had acquired Furrion. Furrion’s estimated sales for 2021 are $230 million, which will be a lovely addition to Lippert’s overall portfolio.

About Lippert

Lippert is a large company with over 11,000 team members. With over $2.7 billion in sales annually, they’re certainly not new to the game. Lippert formed a company in 1956 as B&L Industries. They got their start by manufacturing galvanized mobile home roofing.

By 1966, the company expanded into five states, and by 1969 the company became LCI or Lippert. Once 1997 rolled around, they finally entered the RV world. Lippert continues to acquire companies while making quality products.

What Kind of Products Does Furrion Make?

You name the device or appliance, and Furrion seems to make it. The company makes everything from entertainment devices such as TVs to essential navigation tools like their RV backup camera.

This brand will also help you cook with their luxury microwaves, cooktops, and grills. You might be surprised to learn that the company can even supply you with an air conditioner and water heater.

Some of the most well-known products that Furrion produces include electronics and appliances such as electric fireplaces, microwave ovens, and backup cameras. These are the products that RV owners could easily name as Furrion products in their RVs.

Many Furrion users don’t even realize how many products of this brand they use every day in their RVs. They even make power adapters, inverters, power inlets, and more.

Is Furrion Made in the USA?

Much of Furrions products are made in the USA. There are manufacturing plants throughout the United States of America as well as in Canada. Additionally, the company has global headquarters and quality control locations in China.

Elkhart, IN, is where many Furrion products are made. They make an excellent partnership for RV companies headquartered there.

Are Their Products High-Quality?

Furrion products are the industry standard due to their consistent performance. Users have come to trust their products and have high standards for the company. While no company creates perfect products 100% of the time, Furrion does a good job getting hard-working products into customers’ RVs.

Do They Make RVs?

Furrion does not manufacture RVs. The company works with RV manufacturers to supply appliances and components for their brands. So while many brands such as Grand Design, Jayco, and Forest River utilize Furrion products, they’re only a vendor of these RV manufacturers.

That being said, the company has produced a luxury motorhome and fifth wheel, which highlight what makes the Furrion brand so impressive and innovative. The majority of the company’s business lies in creating RV products, but maybe they’ll build more RVs one day.

About Furrion’s Elysium

While Furrion does not manufacture RVs for public sale, their name is on one amazing unit: the Elysium. This concept RV features their state-of-the-art products all in one awe-inspiring motorhome. Elysium is 45 ft long, 8 ft wide, 13’ 6” high, so it is hard to miss if you see it.

This beast is a fully operational home on wheels that’s nothing shy of luxurious. One extremely unique feature is a helipad on the roof. This is useful for when your friends want to come to visit you for the weekend–but it’s easier to bring the helicopter than the car.

Joking aside, the features on this motorhome rival any sticks and bricks home. There’s even a hot tub on the Elysium! With three 75 in 4k TVs, you won’t miss out on your favorite flicks while onboard.

Pro Tip: Even if you don’t have an Elysium, you can still enjoy a hot tub while on the road with one of these Best Portable Inflatable Hot Tubs for Your RV.

Are Furrion Products Worth It?

Furrion has worked hard to become a trusted company. When it’s time to replace the appliances in an RV, many owners turn once again to this luxury appliance creator to provide for them. While there are many popular names in the RV world, Furrion is one you can count on.

Any chance someone can tell me where to get a center door hinge for my Furrion refrigerator that broke in half in my RV? I have been looking for a long trying to find one that fits.

If its an older model you could try sending a pic to a salvage yard. They can usually take a look to see what they have on the lot. I got a hard to find door handle that way once.

We have a Furrion 3 burner stove that fell apart. We've tried to fix it, the dealer has tried to fix it but the lousy design and cheap materials keep breaking. No more Furrion for me!

We have a Furrion 40" fireplace where last week the glass exploded blowing glass and the frame topll over the room. The next morning we tried to call. They were too busy to take the call, saying go to their we site. So, we filled out their form including model and serial numbers and the problem. No response. We tried to call several times, same results. Go to their website.

My camper is almost totally Lippert. It's a TLRV ROVELITE 14FD. We broke our Solera awning, which was only six months old. It's made by Lippert and guess what. They don't offer replacement parts. I hope Furrion doesn't have the same traits.
