Sitting along the Gulf Coast on the northern shore of Tampa Bay, you can find many white sandy beaches, outdoor recreation activities, and sporting events.

Amenities: FamCamp Macdill AFB RV Park is right along Tampa Bay and has a marina for RVers traveling with a boat. It has 359 full-service sites with electricity, water, waste disposal, cable TV, and optional telephone service. Additionally, there are 41 dry campsites and 21 partial hook-up spots with water and electric.

There is a dump station, propane fill-up station, hot showers, and a cashless laundry room to make your RVing experience simple. The RV park has a wide range of dining, golf, fitness, and recreation activities. Pets are welcome at this RV park and there are three pet exercise areas. However, you must provide proof of vaccines upon check-in and they only allow two dogs per RV. There are also some breed restrictions.

Cost: Full-service campsites are around $22/day or $565/30-day period from May through September and $26/day or $680/30-day period from October through April.

For a more comfortable camping experience, you can reserve glamping sites through Timberline Glamping. The sites come with beds and air conditioning. Campsites are pet-friendly, but your furry friends must be on a leash up to six feet long. 

Cost: Campsites are about $24/night plus a $7 nightly utility fee for water, electric, and sewer hookups. RVers 65+ typically receive a 50% discount on campsite fees.
